I think that is where this will really pay dividends. If these concepts can be applied to all vehicles, the money savings will be compounded for all Ford vehicles. That's where it will really pay dividends. -
Yes... I-Max is Ford badged version of Mazda 5 (Premacy in JDM, Mazda5 outside Japan). The previous gen Premacy also had a Ford twin called Ixion (another I name)

Ford only has one vehicle in the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the USA, the F-series (F-150 and Super Duty) which sits at number one with 828,832 units sold. Toyota has the RAV4 in third, Camry in 7th, and Tacoma in 9th. While Ford has no Camry rival, it has the Escape and Ranger. So, this means since Ford has dominated the full-size pickup/commercial vehicle segment, they don't care that their other vehicles are not dominating their segments. The RAV4 for example, how can it be profitable? It's a global model, while it's just in 3rd place, Toyota sold over 2 million of them. Ford sold under a million F-series trucks in the 2025 globally, 90% were sold in the USA, and under 9% were sold in Canada. Ford is relying too heavily on the F-series pickup which is 99% sold in the North American continent. This role is played by the Ranger in many global markets, but in varying degrees of success. I think Ford should take models like the C-segment Escape more seriously, it needs other hits other than the North American-centric F-series trucks.

So lets put it this way-you should defend your views that you have but expect to get called out on it. Because you want some form factor of a type of vehicle and make it that a company won't be successful in your mind doesn't mean your views are correct. Bring facts to establish it instead of "shitting on" that company. -
4 EVs on the same platform at lower prices should yield plenty of volume plus a lot can be applied to all vehicles.

It is possible that Ford could license the Tech to the Chinese for use in US-made Chinese EVs, bypassing the restrictions on Chinese software in vehicles sold in the US. Modular (nodal) 48VDC

Yes for the most part. Here’s the aerodynamics pic they showed comparing to another truck. You can see a pretty big difference in the front end. I tried to outline the shape to highlight the difference. With that said, this could be the shape of the “air” going around the vehicle and not the vehicle itself.
