Yeah, at least some sort of design concept would be nice.

All of their EV models are direct rebadges - Solterra, Getaway, Trailseeker (I think that's the name of it?).
-
You won’t see those vehicles because Ford has nothing to show us besides the current vehicle with EREV badge and nothing done on the inside…..

For years, Ford has been telling anyone who would listen that hybrids, PHEV and EREV were all unnecessary complications and no, BEVs were it. Now, Ford has to unwind all the heavy commitments to BEVs and redirect development funding back to Ford Blue, find engineers capable of doing the developments and big part, start getting products on the conveyor. I don’t see any of that happening inside the next two years. There’s an awful lot of emphasis being put on next year’s midsized BEV pickup and this Is an example of Ford getting caught up in its own expectation/mission accomplished loop. Get back to what means something to customers now, not how much we can charge them.

No worries friend. Yeah I like hearing about these potential product ideas, it's better than getting no info or teasers. But it feels like a lot of talking with nothing of substance coming out of it. I'd much rather see a nice concept than hearing about all the stuff that's supposedly right around the corner. As for when Ford might reveal stuff, maybe during Goodwood? They've revealed and shown off stuff there before, including EVs. -
And this is generally what Ford does when they have nothing to show or are not ready to do so. My take is that Ford is nowhere near as advanced on its vehicle plans as people think and there’s plenty on the to do list considering how much funding and resources were ripped away from Ford Blue plus the recent large write down on BEV developments.

A lot of Subie owners including my niece ain’t giving Toyota/Subaru a pass for this blatant rebadge.

Don't know how much opportunity it will end up being. From what I hear GM has known for nearly 2 years that International would not be renewing the contract because they ultimately planned to sell the Springfield plant. This also explains why GM never updated the Silverado mediums as they had supposedly planned (gasoline engine, air brakes, etc.). Rumor is that GM looked at partnering with another truck manufacturer to continue the program but may have decided (like Ford) to bring their medium duty truck back 'in-house'.

Whoops, I read it as Model Y. Seems like it - we've been hearing the same "wait, it's coming!!" for however many years now.......shit or get off the pot lol. We're at least hopefully closer to something sometime this year. Unfortunately, it seems like Ford is going with its obnoxiously long time between debut and on-sale date.

Yea, pretty much. Ford’s big shots don’t have much else interesting to talk about amid the current drought of new product introductions. So why not embellish Jimbo’s fantasy of chasin’ Tesla with vague and meaningless prattle?
