I’m looking at the Murphy in Wagoner, OK, and they’re advertising $2.99/gal for E10/87.

In that case it does make sense, the Octane will be a lower-cost alternative to the next generation medium duty diesels, like the Cummins B7.2L. That might be a good thing for Ford, they ought to be able to substantially undercut the Octane powered medium duty trucks with the 7.3L F-650/750. That is, if Ford continues to offer those trucks. Recently Ford announced that the 6.7L Powerstroke will be CARB certified for medium duty trucks and once again availble for sale in California, however that only applies to the F-550 and 600, not the 650 and 750. Ford seems to be very reluctant to spend any money at all on the 650 and 750 (air brakes on gas trucks...).

Bu..bu..bu...but, Hemi? I said HEMI?!? Hemi will save us all in Dodg....Errr, RAM land. -
While it’s common in the segment, I view this as an excuse and can also result in a product becoming uncompetitive by leaving a product too long without a redesign. At least they’re doing incremental changes and updates (air vents, grab handles etc) to it and not leaving it exactly the same. remember too, while enthusiasts make up a bigger percentage of Bronco buyers vs other vehicles, they don’t necessarily make up a majority of buyers. So the average buyer could be interested in them while enthusiasts might not be. I’d have been interested in a hybrid had it been available.

For HD/Super Duty trucks, those three brands will own the truck market for a long time. For light duty trucks, Ford and GM are fine. RAM, not so much. Toyota is eatin' RAM's breakfast in that part of the truck market, and if Hyundai succeeds with its truck built specifically for the American market, RAM's lunch and dinner will be eaten by rivals too.

Ford keeps "going to the well" about anything that is groundbreaking and claiming it is their "Model T moment" when if you study it...CE1 would be more like their "Model A moment" since Ford stubbornly clung to Model T while the competition zoomed past Ford in sales and market share as Hank continued to soldier on with the Model T.....When Model A was introduced, it was radically different in every way and was a huge success. -
The Titan was discontinued in 2024.

Remember when Toyota and Nissan entered the truck wars? Everyone thought it was over for the big three... Toyota does dominate in midsize trucks with their perennial top seller Tacoma but Tundra, Titan and even Frontier are all sputtering along while Ford, GM and RAM own the truck market.....will it last? Maybe...but don't get your hopes up. Competition improves the breed for sure, but I don't see anything changing dramatically in the truck wars.
