Not talking unit sales - talking about the operation making $$ which they are. -

Speaking of lack of cohesion, I noticed it has the same issue a lot of modern designs have, which is that the form language and surfacing isn't consistent. I'm someone where if a design is boxy, I want it to be boxy all around, same with curvey, sporty, or aggressive designs. It's why I like the look of the mach-e and bronco so much, because they're both fantastic looking vehicles for what they are. But with this, you see it go from a really rounded front end, to a really sharp and squared off rear end, and it just doesn't look as good. -

Nah, it doesn't have to be smooth! You won't be able to tell if the crease is supposed to be there or not! 😄 -

Meh, my '86 Bronco II got about 4 MPG better fuel economy than our 2024 Bronco gets, and it had a V6 as well. Of course, it was gutless (going up hills was easier if I turned the A/C off), had a manual transmission, had wimpy tires, was geared super-high, and probably weighed 2000 lbs less. I'll take the 2024 with it's hit in MPG. -
I'd agree, the pattern doesn't look cohesive.

I'm on that train as well. I like the look... wouldn't buy one because it doesn't fit my needs. The other thing is that 3rd row seat must SUCK to get in and out of. Like, I remember how much it sucked getting into the 3rd row in a Flex for test drives... and then how much MORE it sucked doing the same in the MKT because the roof line dipped down. Brutal.

Man that is gonna be a bitch to do any auto body repair on! -
It feels radically under-appreciated both by petrolheads and EV firebrands how impressive modern engine series like the Ecoboost are. The fact that a Bronco can get over 20 mpg with a V6 is a feat. If you make it a turbo-hybrid it can become a flawless power unit like Powerboost, that I feel parallels the capability of an EV drivetrain. I’m very excited for EVs (and admittedly am not interested in a pure ICE ever again, especially some shit like a turbo-3 cyl) but part of why EVs are so hard to get right I think is because of how impressive our engine technology is.
