Ok let's try this one more time.  Escape had 7 or 8 competitors and nothing unique which kept prices low.   Maverick has virtually no direct competitors AND it has emotional appeal which both add up to much higher ATPs.  Same fir Bronco Sport.   You can make decent profit on a high cost platform if you can get volume without huge price cuts. You can make decent profit on a cheap platform even if you are in a price war.

It looks good!  Though if you slapped a BMW logo on the outside i wouldn't have thought anything of it, seems to have lost a bit of the Audi DNA. 

The 3.0Leb already competes with the jeep 392.

Borg brought up a good point.....we saw the front end's true shape (mainly the slope) in the teaser earlier this year:     ....you can see the front camera bump there in the center that we see on the vehicle below.       He's also saying the bump on the roof on the teaser image is LiDAR coming alongside the new Escape 2 years after launch.

I'd agree.....hell I'd even say "do both", again since Zephyr is already paid for in China, offer it for those that don't care about performance, and offer the "Zenith" (i'm coining the name now for the Mustang 4-door based sedan) for more performance-oriented intentions....

Makes it sound like production is coming back to the US.

If the Mustang sedan actually does happen(fingers crossed); that would be an excellent starting point for Lincoln, make it a hatchback like the A5. I think the Zephyr would do quite well as well.
