https://www.motortrend.com/news/tesla-recall-buyback-fix-never-seen-before “The specific Teslas in question are 12 models of the 2024 Model 3 and three 2026 Model Ys that were manufactured at Tesla’s Shanghai or Berlin plants. They were originally intended to be imported and sold only in the Canadian market, cars designed to meet Canada’s version of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), but were later imported to the U.S. from Canada and subsequently bought by American customers instead.” -
You know IH completely redesigned the chassis of the light duty trucks in 1975 to accommodate their new 'big block' MV 404 and 446 V-8's. The MV's were not ready in '75 but were sheduled for '76. Halfway through the '75 model year IH gave up on the light trucks and Travelalls. The MV V-8's had nowhere to go, IH began to offer them in some of their medium duty trucks and sold a handful to Dodge for motorhome chassis. As it turned out the debacle turned into a win for Ford, IH modified the MV gas V-8 into the 6.9L diesel and was finally able to make some money off that substantial tooling investment.

I think if the Scout was offered as a conventional ICE with a hybrid option, and was sold through a conventional dealer (even if it was VW) it might have a chance. But, it appears the Scout will be a BEV primarily with a hybrid option, and will be sold direct from the manufacturer (a la Tesla). Given VW's penchant for for screwing things up royally what could possibly go right? I still can't figure out how they screwed up the I D Buzz...

As others have said, avoid these vending issues. Back during pandemic, our office had a self serve cash only tray of sweets/candy. we had external auditors to our office, one asked me if he just take the candy because he had no cash… I asked him wil declining mean we fail our audit? He bristled and said no Weeks later I get called into the office about cash short in the above set up, I explained the situation and next day, the thing was removed permanently.

I've seen some with July placed orders already scheduled, as I understand those Ford emails go out every Thursday.

I sure hope so! I placed my order 08 July 08 and have a priority code 03. -
Ford changed the Dealer priority code range now to 3-19. I was a 3 and was already put in the 2nd week of 2027 builds at KTP. More important is whether you fit into your dealers monthly allotment which typically should be "yes" with a priority 3. For those with recent orders, I wouldn't be surprised if you get the Ford "scheduled" email tomorrow. Ford is moving quickly now scheduling weeks 24AUG to 7SEPT. Good luck !!

priority 1-9 is set by Ford for special circumstances. Dealers set their order priority 10-19 for retail (customer orders) and 20-99 for dealer stock. Assuming no commodity holds when the dealer gets allocation the factory schedules the lowest numerical priority. It's up to the dealer to ensure customer orders are prioritized correctly.
