I interpret that to be different.   That's showing the seat bottom on the floor with the seatback down, not the seat bottom first flipping up like Bronco.  I'm interpreting that drawing as the green line (below) being the bulkhead folding backward into the bed:     That's the only way those handles make sense on the fig-4, (if it folded back into the bed) as you wouldn't have the latch in the bed folding forward into the cab because then anyone could turn it and get into the cab.....nor would you have handles on the side that you can't access when it folds down.   That's why I said, i think it'll be the opposite of what's shown there, and have the bulkhead fold the other way into the cab.

It'll have to be red!  This would likely be the wife's ride, and she wants red.  She does like the new Shelter Green, though.  It's really sharp!    And it'll definitely be 4 door.  I have some regrets with the 2 door Bronco, but man is it nice to drive around being so short.  We were in StL for a Cards game this past weekend (I HATE the city) and it was so nice having that short thing to drive around.  The Bronco will be kept to flat-tow behind the F550 and truck camper.   My truck is Antimatter Blue, and yeah, it's almost black.  And it shows dirt just like black.  I'm pretty boring, though, so my next Super Duty will likely be grey lol!

Haha we'll plan it!  That's the other thing I can't do is a 50-shade of gray color.  Give me a bright blue..  I guess my Flex was light Ice blue that almost looked silver sometimes, but it went nicely with the white roof.  They didn't offer a true blue when i got mine though....it was either that or the Dark Ink blue which was like antimatter blue that you can barely tell it's not black.   Though I doubt they do a 2-door this time!

I couldn't live without a truck.  Of course, like you said after buying a house, there's always something you need a truck for.  We're looking at moving to a flatbed truck camper from a fifth wheel, which means my pickup goes away and I get an F550 with a flatbed.  I'm torn on the idea as I'll be without a pickup for the first time since I got out of college nearly 30 years ago.  Sure, a flatbed can still do truck duties, but so many things I use my truck for (taking the recycling to town for instance) isn't feasible with a flatbed.  My wife wants a Bronco, but she says she also likes the Gladiator (I won't allow a Jeep in the house lol), so if the Bronco truck comes to fruition, it may eventually replace the Mach E.  I guess you and I will have to get the same color and trim package again! 😄 

I've never had a true desire to have a truck, but depending on how it ends up looking (and I suppose if it actually happens), I might consider a Bronco truck.   I've always preferred more unique vehicles (Flex, Mustang, now Bronco) vs. ones you see everywhere, but now having recently purchased a house and all the projects we've been doing so far changes the ideal vehicle type calculus.  A Bronco truck can let me still have a more unique vehicle while having the truck capability.  I do have access to a truck as needed via my dad or brother, who both have F-150s (Lariat supercab w/ 6ft bed and 2017 Raptor supercrew withh the 5.5ft bed), and have rubber cargo mat and seatbacks in the Bronco for some dirty things, but it's also annoying to have to call up and go borrow a truck if I need it.   We'll see!!

The rollout starts with 10,000 R2 robotaxis targeted for 2028 in San Francisco and Miami, then ramps up to roughly 25 cities across the US, Canada, and Europe by 2031. For Rivian, the R2 is still a mainstream compact SUV that slots below the R1T pickup and R1S SUV, but this agreement gives it a split personality: a family-size EV in your driveway that shares its hardware and software with a high-mileage robotaxi tuned for strict autonomy, uptime, and fleet economics. ... Rivian’s software and autonomy plan comes in steps. The company is targeting point-to-point assisted driving by late 2026, an interim “Autonomy+” stage, Level 3 eyes-off highway capability around 2027, then Level 4 robotaxi service beginning in 2028. Robotaxi-spec R2s are expected to run extra cameras, added radar, likely lidar, and more onboard compute than the consumer versions, paired with redundant steering and braking so the system can ride out component failures without needing a human to grab the wheel.

Yeah, I hate the split light trend.   At least they tried to hide them by blacking it out.......I still think Chevy has had some of the best split light looks out there because they've integrated the light into some grille work or vents so it doesn't visually look like a random square tacked on for lighting.
