Funny, I don't think the new Palisade looks good at all.  I feel like the last gen looked better/more classy, even though I hated the split light look. And it looks downright cheap in lower-end trims.     Meh, colors will I'm sure be optional/price add ons anyway, so I don't know copying Tesla with only a few colors is really necessary.

Looks like you could be right. Someone is stating these are some of the available colors over on the fathom site. The blue works, a similar color has been around for years. I’d question the choice of the others, especially when trying to keep costs down. I would have guessed they would have copied Tesla and only had a few colors to choose from. If that’s the case, then you could be missing out on some more popular colors.

My guess is van, some crossover, maybe a second crossover, and a sedan or hatch.

Yep, set your charge target in the app.  It's better for the battery for certain chemistries (I can't keep track of what's what).  Also, as the charge reaches 80%, the charge rate slows down to control heat and battery damage.  The Mach-E with the "other" battery chemistry will remind you to charge to 100% weekly if you don't do it.   I do that on my iPhone too using the recommended target of 80%.  

Agreed. $2800 on the F-150 is seriously absurd. I see what they've been doing with having that go up. Some years, they're using that as a "look, we didn't raise the base price of the truck", since the "base price", again, doesn't include D&D. Semantics, but it's a thing. Going from 2026 to 2027, base prices on a lot of F-150 body codes actually went DOWN, but packages are de-contented, so once you do an apples to apples build, well, we'll see.   I had this exact discussion yesterday with someone. Putting Ranchero on this would have been the Mustang Mach-E again. The hardcore Ranchero fans and anti-EV crowd would rally around "that's not a Ranchero", "two doors too many to be a Ranchero", "they could have called it literally anything else and it would have been better".

The beauty of LFP is it fills up and discharges like gas. You do not have to worry about %’s like other shit, you can approach your “tank” the same way you do your current one. That is a large reason I’ve been so positive about it (and so negative that GM doesn’t like LFP).    if you mean the Tuscon and Santa Cruz’s headlight LEDs, I see what you mean but the issues with those designs is a lot more  the very blobby form that the headlights did nothing to fix. The fathom seems to be more sharp, and ironically, other Hyundai and Kia designs are likewise extremely sharp aside from the unique form of the Ioniq sedan (the 6?).    I am beginning to think that Ford is really looking at the Koreans as something to emulate. I think this is actually a really good idea, as long as they don’t emulate the part where the folding seat kills your kid or the car can be hot wired with a USB stick.
