Not to mention Ford made mustang wagon and mid-engine concepts as well. This confirms Ford was thinking of a mustang sub-brand basically since the begining. -

The Horror!!! The only reason why they did not built it was that it would step on the toes of the Falcon too much. -
Current Nautilus, and upcoming Corsair will use the 2.0EB hybrid. -
The Corsair? Did you mean Nautilus? The Corsair uses the same 2.5 Atkinson cycle engine as in the Escape hybrids.

Corsair already uses a 2.0 turbocharged 4-cyl plus the hybrid components.
