I don't see why a new Excursion has to be SD based this time around. The Excursion was rated at 11k pounds for towing with the diesel. The current Expedition is rated for 9.6k pounds. Perhaps with a diesel or larger V8 gas engine, coupled with a beefier transmission could be put under the current body style. More of an Excursion package / trim than an all new model. -
Yeah, I definitely wonder what they're going to do with next-gen styling. I'd imagine they'll try not to stray too far from the current successful look, but they also have to change it enough to convince buyers to upgrade...

I like that more than I thought I might. Looks better than the Gladiator, which I’ve always found to have something awkward about it. Too bad any future Bronco variant would be a next-gen model at this point and could look drastically different. -
