You lost me at 1.0 EcoBoost. That engine does not belong in a truck. It struggled in the EcoSport by all accounts, it would be awful as a truck engine.
I mean. I guess. I have virtually no usage for the off-road capability my Bronco has, but I bought it because I liked it.
im sure most people don’t use their vehicles to capacity
Agree,
I know I'm a broken record but I don't see how they proudly proclaim the contribution Ford Pro makes but they do little to capitalize on a market that Ford was always a big player in.
VW deals have been good business for Ford, selling Transits and Ranger (Amorok) have brought in decent income.
Working with MEB has taught Ford where a supplier like VW earns its money and how to overcome that.
What doesnt kill you makes you stronger, I think Ford had to build something to get experience…
The other item to ponder about chassis development - while we here in the NA market may perceive this as a small car...in Europe, it is quite sizeable. C chassis covers the gamut from upper end of B class to lower end of D class as well as the various connotations in C class size....I am confident that with the new lines, this will lead to a new era of development for Ford across the markets they are currently in.
Valid points, but I'm a little less concerned with this just because it seems like EV tech is inherently a lot more reliable than ICE, especially if we're comparing something like an electric motor to a small displacement turbocharged motor.
