probowler
I have serious issues with that "Source" (Including mine including mine!") But I still posted it because... Hope! I will still probably laugh when it turns out to be a well executed troll "Sigh" Edited March 17, 2015 by probowler

jpd80
I'm just itching to know about the extra 1500 employees hired for Dearborn and the role they now play in increasing F150 production and a possible Bronco, this is exciting times for Ford. I can see a Bronco being a very desirable product, something Ford should be proud of and if it's anything like the ideas floated here, cold be a real handful for the competition. atomcat68
If they did make a Bronco and it was large like the F150, wouldn't it make more sense to make it at the same plant as Expedition/Navigator and base it off that?

Or would you make it incremental to the Extra cab short bed Raptor and just have a removable canopy rear?
atomcat68
If they do this I'd say Bronco would be a "Raptorized" Expedition.
Pioneer
Bronco should be two rows, IMO.

jpd80
Something Ford Asia Pacific is working on in Australia, a shortie version of Ranger Hmm, I wonder how that little truck would look with a Bronco styled Body....
silvrsvt
Jeep has been showing off a bunch of concepts based on the Wrangler....this is my favorite and I'd love to see a Bronco done similarly... http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/the-1970s-jeep-chief-is-back-as-this-badass-wrangler-ba-1692389690?utm_campaign=socialflow_jalopnik_facebook&utm_source=jalopnik_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
probowler
I've been trying to visualize what exactly they could do styling wise... besides the concept, OG Bronco, and an obvious short-bed raptor... That concept gives me hope that there's a lot they can do. Kinda reminds me of this: 1978
silvrsvt
IMO an F-150 based Bronco is too big. Something the size of a first gen Explorer would be perfect.
SoonerLS
That's a tough Raptor — check the video. Looks like a tube-framed racing chassis, so seems to me that it's about as much a Raptor as a Sprint Cup car is a Fusion...
probowler
I always thought it was weird how big the Explorer got when Ford already had the Expedition. Those first gen were small... only had 4 seats!
fordmantpw
I always thought it was weird how big the Explorer got when Ford already had the Expedition. Those first gen were small... only had 4 seats! The Explorer Sport may have been a 4-seater, but wasn't the 4-door Explorer always a 5-seater (until it got the 3rd row)? I know my Bronco II was a 4-seater.

probowler
Good to know... the way the sport seats are set up make it look impossible to fit another, but sure enough Ford got er done Sport I actually wouldn't mind if the Bronco was 4 seats.... or 5 seats whatever..... I'm pretty happy with the size of my Escape, cut the wheelbase a bit and you have a really maneuverable vehicle. probowler
I like your thinking.... Lets not forget that a 4-door Bronco isn't necessarily a "Stretch"... or is it? Edited March 20, 2015 by probowler
