This is good news. It will be interesting to see what Consumer Reports survey results from Ford owners shows for reliability/quality over the next couple of years.
There are three fan speeds on auto and it is depends on if there are passengers in the back or if I’m particularly hot or cold for some reason. It’s never set it and forget it in my vehicles for a number of reasons.
Thanks God. But, maybe is too late . The former VW executive that served as Ford of Europe Chief until some months ago and returned to VW, already destroyed the company in this continent.
Direct result of the new launch quality assurance changes. Good work. Of course this is only the first 90 days.
Surprised to see Explorer so high. Did they fix CAP? 😎
Too bad it's behind a paywall, but everything you want to know about the Long Beach skunkworks facility can be found in today's Detroit News. Too long an article for me to summarize.
Jumps 14 Spots in the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study

DEARBORN, Mich., June 27, 2024 – Ford leaps 14 positions in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study, while Lincoln also improves its performance.
Bronco Sport was named best small SUV for initial quality, outperforming 18 other models for the title.
Ford jumped 14 spots to No. 9 from No. 23 and a number of Ford vehicles performed well in the study, which is based on feedback from drivers and data on vehicle repair visits during customers’ first three months of new vehicle ownership. Lincoln also improved its rank from No. 28 to No. 25.
“We are making a lot of progress on quality and customers with our latest vehicles are benefiting from it,” said Jim Baumbick, Ford’s vice president of Product Development and Quality. “We have more work to do, as our ambition is to have best-in-class quality and we won’t be satisfied until we achieve and sustain it.”
“Ford’s achievement of receiving the award for the Bronco Sport in the Small SUV segment shows their continued commitment to Initial Quality,” said Frank Hanley, senior director of auto benchmarking at J.D. Power.
Additionally, 2024 Explorer, Maverick and Super Duty performed well, ranking second in their respective segments.
It’s probably not hurting it but I would do exactly what you said and see what happens. I’m guessing the sensors are $400 or so but that’s strictly a guess. Could be higher.
Thank you for the feedback. Do you have any idea what the cost would be to do something like that through the dealership? Based off what I'm hearing, I might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and seeing if that works. If that doesn't work I can have them perform a software update, and if that doesn't work, I can try to change the fluid. Which is something I was gonna do in the near future anyways along with the coolant even though the dealership says there's no need.
I'm curious if it's actually damaging the transmission when it shifts like that, or if it's the sort of thing where the transmission is fine, it just shifts a little rough. I could probably learn to get used to if as long as it wasn't hurting the car itself. But if it was, I'd want to address it sooner rather than later.
Who wants to move to Michigan from Califorina? LOL
Here is the current vision since it opened recently

I may have missed something along the way, but wasn't this the original vision for remodeling the Michigan Central Station?
