The Dealer may not have the physical Window Sticker. However, Dealers can access Window Stickers through the Ford Dealer portal site which provides Window Stickers in PDF as long as the VIN number is in Ford's database. I don't know if Mustangs built for export are included in the database.
Hello folks,
I bought a second hand 2023 Mustang Mach 1, EU/German version, and I don't have an official list of all the options, build details.
I went to my local Ford dealer and they printed out a build list, but it is quite difficult to read. I was wondering if you know a way to get the "window sticker" for a German build?
I also called the dealer who initially sold the car, but they didn't have it.
Here's the VIN just in case: 1FA6P8R04P5500530
Thanks,
Arthur
I have a 2024 Superduty w/6.7 Powerstroke. Last Thursday, I had a dealership, using FDRS, enable option 3 (manual regen w/auto regen inhibit) just as you mentioned.
Previously, I had viewed a Youtube channel (dieselrsm) doing the same on a 2020 Superduty. As he showed, there was a box to engage and disengage (check and and uncheck) the "Auto Regen" feature.
I also searched everywhere on the menus, both the instrument cluster display and the center display and it apparently doesn't exist.
I was able to initiate Manual Regen by using the instrument cluster display by going to "Main Menu," then to "Vehicle Maintenance" and then scrolling down to "Exhaust Filter". Since the DPF capacity, in my case, was reading 100% it displayed the question something like: "Clean Exhaust Filter?". By hitting the steering wheel button, while engine running, it initiated the process to clean the DPF.
The Manual Regen process took about 30 minutes, the engine RPM was steady at 1300, and the electric cooling fans only activated when coolant temperature reached 207 degrees Fahrenheit. As soon as the coolant temp reading would drop, they would shut off. The coolant temp would pull down to 195 degrees and gradually start rising then when reach 207 the electric coolant fans would reengage. (Incidentally, the outside temp was 51 degrees).
Additionally, I have learned the following regarding "Regen": There is PASSIVE regen and ACTIVE regen. And active regen is further broken down into AUTO regen and MANUAL regen. While passive is automatic.
I was conflating Auto and Active when they are two different things.
I would like to see Ford be successful in class 6 and 7, but if they were to leave that market I doubt it would have any effect on their class 1-5 truck sales. As I have said before, I work for one of the largest utility fleets in the western United States and we haven't bought a new F-650 in over 10 years, but we still buy plenty of class 2-5 Ford trucks.
If the shift linkage was tight and not worn excessively I think that would be the case, the transmission was not all the way in 'park'. I saw so many that were worn to the point when the lever was in park all the way the transmission valve body was not. I remember seeing an old Granada tearing through a parking lot in reverse with no one at the wheel. Luckily a Dodge truck stopped in cold! When I used to work on old Fords I would put a wheel chock behind the back wheel........
If Ford does something stupid like abandoning the medium duty segment, then all credibility that they've accrued will be tossed out the window and they will kiss the class 1 thru 5 biz goodbye!
One more point - it’s not that it’s competition per se it’s licensing. Let’s take cornhole boards that people love to build with sports logos. They’re charging a lot more for those boards with sports logos and selling a lot more of them because of the logo so it’s only fair that the logo owner get a licensing fee. And they should be allowed to decide whether it’s a product they want their logo on.
