I'm guessing the actual price is more like $35K then 30K.   But in the grand scheme of things, that is "affordable" with the 50K mark being the average cost of a new car.

$30k for the E-Maverick is really optimistic since the ICE one is more expensive than that.    But I'm waiting for Ford to surprise me. Farley made a big promise so he better keep it 😃

It wasn’t a lot of capital and came together quickly because that type of vehicle has been needs since 2006 (when Nth America pulled out of global Ranger) 11,000 sales is still a modest number but I suspect hidden in those figures is a nice profitable counterpoint to the Brinco Sport  

Kinda like how the navigator is the new Continental. It's the reason why it's so hard to make a business case for large passenger cars these days, there's just no need. 

I agree generally that desire for power from the general public is overstated, especially if it costs a decent amount more.  But, I think a lot more people want their vehicle to give the appearance of being super capable in the sporty or rugged realms. If you can build a package that is a little quicker but looks more aggressive, you can definitely build in a higher retail price. That’s where an ST comes in.    Almost no one is tracking an Explorer ST, but they sell a bunch of them. I’d bet there is a decent market for a Maverick ST.

To haul around in the back of the F450 when the camper is not on board?    I have seen people pull big gigantic fifth wheels with a HD truck with a Smart car on the back in front of the fifth wheel hitch.  Pretty cool, but waaaay too big for me!
