Idunno. Must be some kind of supplier war in my area. Within a 3 mile radius of my home, prices vary by up to 49¢ per gallon! The BP and Holiday (Circle K) are across the street from each other, and the bottom Holiday is just across the boarder in MN. 🤷🏻♂️
Obviously Bolt does not inspire you. 😀
Don't be so quick in dismissing how it inspires others though. As covered previously, Bolt was best selling EV behind Tesla Models Y and 3 when discontinued a few years ago, and that was with super-slow 55 kW charging and history of battery fires. The new one could surprise where it counts, in sales, whether some people look down on it or not.
This is for the 2.0 not the 2.3. Bit it’s also the new generation and Ford wouldn’t do this unless they were sure the powertrain could handle the output. The transmission was used with the 350 hp 2.7 so no issues there.
They are using a 7 speed variant in the Lobo and I also think that the 6F (and its derivates) transmission issues are a bit overstated...you have a large body of products that use them, so its going to seem like your gonna have more problems with them
I made it to 100K with my SHO with a 6F55 transmission with an aftermarket tune and never had an transmission issue. My wife's Escape 6F had an issue but didn't require any major work to be done to it and lasted till 120K or so before getting traded in.
And if the pending government legislation requiring EVs had materialized you would have put Ford out of business. Business decisions like this are not easy.
