It's possible, the issue is this sort of look has been used to describe t3 as well. So IDK if this patent hints more at the general shape of t3, or CE1. Maybe they'll both look like this, who knows. 

Most things aren't viable until they are.   I don't see why learnings can't be applied to bring costs down.

Not sure about the feature this article is highlighting, BUT, the front end design with a fold down "front gate" (front tailgate) and hood may hint at the CE1 truck look?   Future Ford EVs Could Move To Give People Better Access To Frunk

Yea, the business case may be tough, but that doesn't mean that Large Retail Oriented EVs Aren't Viable. The solution for Ford is to get the price of those large EVs down so that retail customers don't have to pay any premium. My 2022 F-150 Lightning was priced around $40k. An equivalent 2025 model is closer to $50k. There's no reason that improved production processes and supply chain management combined with the declining prices for lithium ion batteries can't make the $40k price point a reality again. Ford's skunkworks has already been workin' on this.   An engineering magazine mentioned this:      

Hopefully, this means that the ICE/"Blue" side gets some R&D funds back.
