While a lot of hay has been made over Ford announcing recalls, some are just odd.....I mean why issue a formal recall when the amount of cars being recalled is 1??
Just my two cents,
ROW designed Bronco Sport that meets both US design rules as well as EU design standards,
can also be made in LHD and RHD, something the US never planned for its version of BS.
As mentioned in the article the ROW version includes PHEV which is probably tricky to retro fit to US BS.
Lots to like if they can pull it off, it also means that costs can be spread across more markets.

Just putting the pieces together, this thing sounds very similar to what Farley has described. This vehicle is backed by a "massive" car company, the article doesn't say who. The guy who co-founded the company was a Ford engineer for decades who worked on the Ford GT and raptor, and presumably still has connections at ford. They also say we'll learn more about this product in early 2026, Ford's revealing a new performance car in January.
So all in all, I say there's at least a small chance this is that off-road supercar we've been hearing about, and Ford partnered with an external source to help develop it, maybe Multimatic had too much going on and couldn't help so they turned to another partner. They're describing it as a car with hypercar levels of performance on-road, and off-road capabilities.
It'll be interesting to see how they're able to combine really impressive on-track performance with off-road capabilities all in one product, not many vehicles have offered that.
No other car company has been more generous than FoMoCo in supporting Team Rubicon's disaster relief efforts, such as those following the devastating storms and flooding in Kentucky back in 2022
Why would they? I NEVER saw a Freightliner dealer that also handled Chrysler cars/light trucks/vans. Or vice-versa. And you certainly could not get Freightliner parts or service at a Chrysler dealership. Interesting fact, you may remember that Freightliner once sold class 4 and 5 versions of the Ram as the Sterling Bullet and also the Mercedes Sprinter, giving Freightliner some coverage down into class 3. It didn't last, Freightliner and Sterling dealers were not successful in the lighter GVW ranges. The Sterling Bullet disappeared when Chrysler was spun off and the Sprinter went to Mercedes, which set up a specific network of commercial van dealers.
I do remember when the Freightliner M2 was introduced, it had dash HVAC vents and window cranks off a Dodge Ram 'B' van. And that was the only connection!
