I don't think Wolfe was the guy. In the video series Revin' Evan did on the Godzilla some years ago Wolfe talked about the Godzilla design and it didn't sound like he had much to do with it. Wolfe has indeed done a lot of performance work on the Godzilla since though.
Thanks for the link,
looks like production is still restricted for now
“According to The Blue Oval's December sales report, Ford F-150 production at the Dearborn Truck plant totaled 24,416 units last month - 14,636 or around 150 percent more than November's total of 9,780 units. At the Kansas City Assembly plant, Ford F-150 production actually decreased by 4,357 units or nearly 39 percent month-over-month, from 11,289 units to 6,932, however. Total F-150 output still increased from 30,308 units in November to 31,348 in December, which is a difference of 1,040 units, or 3.4 percent.”
A streamlined model just under GT without all the gee-gaws and bolted on scoops...maybe a Mustang SVT with my suggested 2.7L EB / 10 speed auto would slot nicely below and Ford would not have to pay any outside entity for use of a "specialized" name..... and maybe also a new "base" Mustang with a 2.0L EB with focus on everyday tractability and maybe an AWD version. At one time, the Mustang was "every persons car" whether you were a weekend racer, a secretary, a medical professional, a retired person looking for a fun, inexpensive ride that can be driven winter, spring, summer and fall.
Good point, but a $100k GT 500 is much closer for people than a GTD that only has a couple thousand produced and you have to be approved by Ford to purchase.
Pretty sure Brian Wolfe designed the godzilla, or at least was a big part of it, before retiring from Ford. He does have some cool aftermarket stuff for them now.
I don't think anything has been made official yet (nor do I think they'll come out and say "we're not using the Shelby name because of ____"), but whatever this thing is called, if it doesn't have the Shelby name, that'll confirm the rumors, IMO.
You guys really don't get it. If Ford would just drop this evil concept of profits, then we could have it all. Sunshine and lollipops for everyone. If you would just get an education and shed your ignorance, then you would clearly see that Marxism always provides the answers.
