A mach-e on CE1 would be pretty neat. If they decide not to go that route and make the next gen mach-e gas only, I'd like to see the ce1 utility pull styling elements from the mach-e just on a smaller scale and at a lower price. Something like this AI rendering, ignore the grille lol.
If this was the next escape, or maybe they call it puma, I think it would have major appeal.
A mach-e with even sharper and more muscular styling would be nice. Maybe a little lower and wider, the same basic design just tweaked to have more road presence
Based on your car history, it seems like you're drawn to the fun, but somewhat practical, types of cars with things like your bronco or SHO. With that in mind, I think a mach-e would suit you well.
I... I actually don't mind those wheels lol. I hate 3 spoke rims with a passion, but 4 spoke, I'm more open to. They look kinda sporty, and sharp, not the worst ev wheels I've seen.
I wanna see Ford take some design risks with these CE1 products. The bronco and mustang, and other ICE products look great, but they have a pretty restrained look to them. I like that because it makes them more timeless. But I'd also really like it if Ford tried to have more styling variety in the company.
If the next gen bronco and mustang still went for that timeless look, but something like their affordable EV was a bit more daring and bold with its design so you could appeal to both camps, the people who want a more conservative style, and those who want really future and bold styling.
The genesis of this situation was western manufacturers (particularly Germany) selling their soles via the Chinese joint venture mandate. The allure of the Chinese market was irresistible but the long term consequence is what we are seeing now. It's almost like the Chinese knew the western capitalists would sacrifice their future for short term profits. Who would have ever thought that?
I wonder if this means we'll get a reveal, or at least a more substantial teaser campaign in the coming weeks. This could be nothing, and we just get like a close up of a door handle or something in a few days.
But with them actively teasing the vehicle now, I hope it's more substantial. We know the battery type, and about the manufacturing process, roughly how big the truck will be, the price, some of the features and performance attributes. But we still don't have a ton of info on how it looks.
Here's hoping the coming weeks gives us more on that.
The cab angle looks pretty normal to me. I think you're seeing the angle of the sheet behind the cab as it falls down and assuming that's the cab itself.
If that was T3, I think we dodged a bullet on that one. It looks like it has the short hood and the angled rear cab like the Silverado EV, which I think is a terrible looking truck.
It all comes back to what makes Lincoln different from a high trim Ford
and that has to be some form of exclusive colors and trims that add up
to a custom built just for you content.
Call me when Lincoln competes on an even level with what Cadillac offers.
