Based on differences in terms of how they were described, I'd say so. The Rivian based EV was described as having a ton of visual impact, with striking proportions. That's not how the star concept reads to me. It's not bad, it's just pretty by the numbers as far as an EV design goes. I don't see many people seeing the star concept and viewing it as this striking, exotic design. -

So you think they threw away the Rivian based design and did something completely different for Star? They're both three row capable suvs. Star came out in 22 a tear after the Rivian divorce.

The decontented version has a transmission temp gauge and the older "upscale" version does not.

Yea, exactly. Also, U.S. market consumers prefer larger vehicles whether from Volvo or other companies, hence Volvo Cars' decision to expand production of EX90 and Polestar 3 at its South Carolina plant.
