Toybaru might just do it. Back in the day when GM had a stake in Subaru, the WRX rebadge for Saab was called "Saabaru"

This is from motor1 and it says the photo was provided by Nissan but this doesn’t seem to match the previous image https://www.motor1.com/news/793236/nissan-off-roader-concept/

I'll be honest, when Ford had the videos taken down, I was worried it was because the time we thought Ford achieved was faster than what they actually achieved, and they didn't want to look bad. The opposite is true. This is insane. -

They'll tell us how engineers with thousands of laps of track driving weren't racing drivers and how a racing driver will be 30 seconds faster in a zr1 🤣. This is impressive as hell. -

IMO I think the issue with this product and other EVs: Other automakers saw the success that Tesla was having with their products and tried to replicate it. However the problem with that was they where trying to chase down a certain type of customer who was already being served by Tesla products I'm personally slightly turned off by the minimalist style and interiors of Tesla products-they look "boring and cheap" I get why its being done also (weight savings/cheaper to build) Styling has been overall disappointing with the vast majority of EVs-Kia's EV and the Mach E are some of the better looking products, but once again, the exteriors are getting hit with that minimalist style again. Once again, IMO Automakers need to stop making EVs "look different" with in reason, because there is a rather large portion of the car buying public that doesn't want to stick out or look different like say early Prius or Tesla buyers who think they are better then other people who don't have a hybrid or EV. I think that also doesn't help EV sales either. -
Thanks for the quick response. I love this truck and hope that's the case. Best,

The distance to empty is based on recent driving history. The update likely wiped that out, so the truck reset back to a standard value. The truck will just need to "relearn" it's fuel economy over the next few hundred miles and will adjust automatically as you drive. No need to worry. -
444 Complaints Later, Ford Recalls 1.4 Million F-150s Because The Transmission Forgot What Gear It Was In | Carscoops Plenty of learner drivers getting to grips with a manual gearbox for the first time manage to hook second from third when they were actually planning on fourth. But now Ford is recalling almost 1.4 million vehicles in the US because their automatic transmissions are treating owners to similar unpleasant shift surprises. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) files, 1,392,935 F-150 trucks from the 2015 through 2017 model years equipped with a six-speed automatic may suffer an intermittent signal issue between the Transmission Range Sensor and the Powertrain Control Module.

I don't think there's necessarily a problem with coming out with a product to try to appeal to different customers than your traditional base. But it has to be done very well. Escape/Bronco Sport are examples of Ford targeting different buyers, but they phoned it in on the latter, and we saw the results. This product as shown, I don't know if it's fair to say it's phoned in, because I'm sure a lot of work and effort and tech when into it, but design wise - the part buyers see the most - it seems lackluster, IMO. It's not a "drop dead gorgeous/gotta have that" type of sleek, and it certainly won't appeal to boxy vehicle buyers. Basically, for me, it's falling in no-mans land between those two groups, and that seems to be the exact reaction the focus groups had.

Looking at his resume, aside from a 9 year stint at Segway, he doesn't seem to stay longer than 5ish years at places (not saying that in a bad way, just that it fits his MO): 1987-1993 - Ford 1993-1996 - Johnson & Johnson 1997-1999 - DEKA Research and Development Corp. 1999-2008 - Segway 2008-2013 - Apple 2013-2018 - Tesla 2018-2021 - Apple 2021-2026 - Ford So he may just have done what he wanted and was like eh, time for something else.....
