What is a TV ad going to show a fleet buyer that they don't already know?

Lack of experienced engineers plus trying to keep costs down.

Well after about 6 months of death by 1000 dollar repairs from my Subaru , I decided to ditch it. Drove a Ridgeline , Passport, Maverick. Bronco, Ranger, and Explorer at the local dealerships. I would of driven a 4Runner but prices and inventory are just atrocious in my area. The Ranger, Bronco, and Passport (in that order) were my top 3. If there was any inventory to choose from I would have got a loaded up XLT with V6. Found a 2025 Bronco Big Bend with Black Diamond package that I really liked at a dealer an hour away. They had good deals on the 25s so I took the gamble. The Good: I walked away with a Bronco with 5 miles on it that I really liked and got a good deal. The Bad: Dealership was subpar. Salesman was only bright spot. They applied terrible vinyl pinstripes to every vehicle on their lot and tried to charge 499 for it (didn’t pay for it) .Weren’t completely up front with discounts. When I arrived, another salesman tried to pretend that the one I was talking with didn’t work there. The worst vehicle prep, I’ve ever seen. The vehicle has a piss poor wash and vacuum. I love it, with one exception. I literally think the 2.3 sounds like a whiny sewing machine. I now understand why they pipe in engine noise. I need to get it detailed and waxed. Debating on whether to put a coating on undercarriage. Need to get towing package, bags for the roof, and Raptor style running boards. Here is a photo (not a good one)! -
This is how it’s gonna go, our ratification meeting is Saturday July 18th in Hamilton at 10am. The union is being very tight lipped, nothing has leaked out so far. On Friday our local 707 reps will meet with the ford master bargaining committee to go over the details of this tentative agreement. So unless something leaks prior somehow Friday may be the earliest we hear any details.

What is up with all these recalls that aren't being performed right the first time? Ford, gm, Toyota, Kia, the list goes on and on. -

It does blow my mind how little thought and research many consumers put into buying a vehicle. Like I get they aren't as passionate about cars as us, but just researching basic things is so easy and hardly takes any time. For the second most expensive purchase most people will make, if they can't even put the bare minimum of thought into it, they deserve a shit box. -
Don't forget Ford's focus in Class 6-7 is really stripped chassis for step vans, school bus, and motorhomes. Any incremental sale they get from F650/750 with cab attached is just gravy in my opinion. Air brakes and complicated transmission are not needed for step van and motorhome markets. This is why they are not keen to invest real money into improving the products to compete more effectively with Daimler and Paccar. They do just fine with the products they have now. If you want a gas engine step van chassis with regular axles/trans that are easy to drive in the city or suburbs, Ford is the 500lb gorilla there. Navistar used to play here but Ford chased them out of the market completely.
