It was only used in F150, Ranger and Bronco after they ditched the transverse version, and 2.3/3.0 makes more sense e ranger and bronco.

We already know a Bronco pickup is coming and it will likely have Ranger Super Duty underpinnings (T6.3) as will the forthcoming F-100.

Aviator was the flagship. They went all in on it at first but pulled back a little lately.

Eliminating overlap between the F-150 and the future F-100 makes sense. I’m thinking the 2.7 remains an option for the F-100.

It makes sense to me that they'd want to consolidate two similar engines into one across the board instead of offering the 2.7 on some models, and the 3.0 on others (or in some cases, both on the same model).
