To be fair, it seems like they were screwed either way. This looks clunky with all the body cladding, but like you mentioned, would look fat without it. Some models make the contrast cladding work well visually, like the mach-e. Others, well they look like this. 

It is even worse because they are blacking out around the wheel wells to remove how visually "thick" the car is.   I don't get what they where going for with it-when I think Ferrari, I think low slung sports/GT car, not a wanna be sedan    

2023 Ford Escape Hybrid  55,000 miles   I keep having this issue  i go to start my truck and i get these messages Stop safely  Pedestrian sounder Fault Service Now And the check engine light comes on and sets a code U3012   Eventually i get it to start by shutting down, opening the door so everything shuts off and waiting a few mins   Sometimes it takes 30 mins to get going again.   after i go through 3 start and stop cycles the check engine light goes off.   Has anyone else seen this happen?

My Inde shop was thinking wire,  but found nothing.  They found the back of the lower Alternator somewhat burnt/blackened.  Very surprised as I have 32K and they said many ford trucks go longer with alternators.   Was a long 1800 miles with 1 1/2 alternators but she did it.  Soon it'll be gone and I'll have a 2027.

I can only hope the Explorer gets an interior redo , as well as the Aviator... would really like to purchase an Aviator, but not till it has the wide to wide Nautilus screen....

I am happy for those than can wait, and want the "bigger" engine choices!   I was surprised when I built a 2027, and it was lower.  I said to myself, no way!  Kudos for Ford for not increasing prices on most items.

For sure! I like being able to help with stuff like this.   On the model year differences and prices, I know, right? Win some, lose some, break even on some. Anyone who wanted the "normal" diesel is going to be eating a thousand extra bucks going into the 27's, but they'll also be getting the HO engine... for a grand less than a 26 would have. So there, too, anyone who has a 26 high output diesel on order... that kinda sucks for them.

Everyone keeps talking about the front and rear, but I think the profile is just as bad. There’s nothing exciting about it from this angle. It looks like it could be a sedan from any automaker. I would have liked to see them push the wheelbase a bit more. With those giant wheels, they seem to be a little close.   i might be in the minority here, but bring back door handles. Giant slabs of sheet metal on the doors doesn’t look good. I think door handles add to the design.   What’s crazy is this is basically the size of an Explorer. here are its numbers vs the Explorer length - 197.9 vs 198.7 width - 78.7 vs 78.9 Height - 60.8 vs 69.8 wheelbase - 116.6 vs 119.1   The interior is alright. The best part is the materials being used. I also like how the screens have the switches incorporated in them. I’d like ford to copy that. I think the movable screen is a cool idea, but at 640k, why not give the passenger their own screen? I also hope it’s connected really well. I could see passengers mistaking it for a handle 😂.  

Thanks for the confirmation!   Those are the same base numbers I saw, so I guess it is true.  Basically it's getting a FREE 7.3L engine with a $65 decrease in the base price, and three minor increases on options ($100 on the Chrome pkg, $50 on FX4, and $25 on Tough Bed).  I kinda wish I had waited to order a 2027 model.......... oh well.         

My friend suddenly started getting an error on the generator on a similar car, they changed everything in a row, but it turned out that the wire under the hood that went to the monitoring sensor was simply frayed.
