I know I've had fewer Rangers available and on the lot this year than I did last year. Specifically this year, YTD, we've had a total of TWO 2026 Rangers go out. One was an ordered Lariat, one was a stock Raptor. We've got one more Lariat here now that was an order. Our first non-Raptor for-stock Ranger for the 26MY is due to land here probably today. I've got one more that's built and awaiting shipping, then three more 26's that are scheduled but not yet built. That's nuts. Part of the problem there was that we were sitting on three 2025's that were stop-sale'd for a recall with no fix up until May/June. I actually had my 26 Lariat order go out before we could move our 25's. Compounding that is the 26MY getting started REALLY late.   Looking at the SUV column, it's pretty clear that losing the Escape hurt the SUV volume, and Escape buyers didn't flock to the Bronco Sport as a replacement. That parallels what we've seen on the ground. Escape buyers aren't moving to another Ford, they're either keeping what they've got, or they're buying something else. 10k units for the month year over year, and 100k units YTD, is a big loss to absorb, and we haven't absorbed it, it just went away. Now we'll be in the position of having to earn those buyers back when/if a replacement rolls out.

Great conversation guys and it makes me think several things… At the time of ceasing Lightning production, Ford wasn’t ready to cancel it outright  so I suspect that its highly likely that Ford did as akirby  suggests and proceeded with chasing down a viable EREV redux. I wonder if the silence on Lightning EREV is that buyers are actually happy with the current offering, perhaps clinics are showing that there’s some interest but maybe no more than BEV Lightning? Mind you, something like EREV Lightning is probably of more interest to international markets…

As a kid growing up in Miami my neighborhood had the McMansions yet you would see Explorer, Mustangs, Town Cars sitting comfortably in the garages.  A good friend of mine  divorced her husband, who is a part owner of a dealership here in Orlando.  She has an F150 XLT that's 4 years old. I'm like, "Why not just get a King Ranch? Not like you have to pay for it, " she's like, "Anthony, I cant parallel park on Park Avenue when we meet for drinks"....Point...Real money doesn't need to show it.

I don’t think it sees the light of day. I do think a true BEV F-150 will come back around. But it may be a decade till battery tech improves charge time and weight.    I also wonder if we will see the F-Series go back to steel body panels rather than Aluminum. More providers of steel than aluminum, after the fires showing the dangers of the current supply chain. A weight increase that could be offset with wiring reductions and other weight reductions via lessons learned from the skunk works EV team. 

Could have been worse.  Lincoln had very solid gains aside form the Corsair.  And heavy truck down 46.7%...

I think it was more of an engineering exercise to test the waters.  I don't think they expected big volume.  That also means it's not a priority and I'm sure Ram's issues have them concerned.  I still question the market for it.
