NickF1011
VASTLY improved. The raised beltline (at least it appears that way) seems to help a lot in diminishing its mass a bit, as does the sloped rear end. I still see a little influence from the Edge in this, believe it or not, in the flanks, particularly in the door panels and fender flares. Looking good so far. :yup:
rmc523
I think it looks good, can't wait to finally see one w/out the camo. I agree with Nick, changing the beltline and roof line helped to make it look a bit smaller (in a good way).
twintornados
correct me if I am wrong...but in picture #4...it looks like the front wheels are spinning.....thought it was going RWD?? Or could this be an AWD mule??

Mark B. Morrow
The rear deck area/tail lights have an aura of 49/Interceptor concept to them... The Interceptor was my first thought. From what we can see I can understand Mulally's initial reaction to the new Taurus. It really is very good looking. Here's hoping we get an EcoBoost AWD SHO version. Didn't Blue II or Igor hint that the next generation after the 2010 would be RWD? Perhaps that's where the confusion lies.
NickF1011
Here's hoping we get an EcoBoost AWD SHO version. There have been enough confirmed mule sightings at this point to say it's almost a certainty. I think the only question is whether or not it will bear the SHO moniker. It it unique to Ford and still has a following, ST is too generic and the EcoBoost will certainly have the power to more than live up to the SHO name. SHO is a good name in my book, even if the last ones were a tad disappointing.
timmm55
Very nice. I see a little bit of the Audi A6 in there, especially the rear. And the Infiniti M45 (? I think). Like the original Taurus it should look more upmarket that it is......a midpriced family sedan with style!
Anthony
Oddly enough....in this image, I see alot of.............. .....the last generation Taurus (not the current one).
silvrsvt
The Grill looks awesome on it, but I dunno at the middle I'm a bit disapointed, it still reminds me of the current Taurus, the doors look the same on it. Over all looks pretty good, can't wait to see it in a dark color without camo

I agree, and I think that's actually good. I think the last-generation Taurus' look has aged quite well.
Hydro
Do you guys think the headlights almost makes it look like a camry? That was my initial impression, but after somebody mentioned Audi I can really see that in there (the whole front end).
BORG
Meh, I see quite a few things I don't like about the rear, fascia is nice but a bit bland. Wish Ford could hire some of those layed off GM designers .

ANTAUS
This is where the rear reminds me of the Audi A6...NOT a bad thing though... Just notice how the rear deck-lid is canted forward. The chrome line going from side to side , and the squarish tail lights... Gives me a hint of Audi.
