probowler
With gas being decently priced, and CUVs and SUVs in hot demand... it seems like the market might be there. I'm sure greenies would have a fit, but I think you could make a case that a GMC Branded H4 or H5 could be a popular vehicle. If the Bronco is successful, that could be good evidence for GM to jump back into the Sport SUV game. What do you guys think?
J-150
At this point, I personally think it's done. It was a fad to begin with. GM could have built into something with staying power but they didn't, then killed it.

rmc523
Hummer as a brand, no. The idea of a Hummer-type vehicle a la Wrangler, branded as a GMC - maybe.
Assimilator
The entire premise around Hummer was to make a fake plastic version of the original Humvee ontop of other GM SUVs. I sure hope that mess is long gone. Edited March 30, 2018 by Assimilator
MKX1960
I saw one last week. It had so much bling on it, it was practically blinding. I'd almost forgotten how out of place they look.
jpd80
Something like the mid Sized Hummer H3 on Colorado mechanicals might work better as a Bronco competitor..
silvrsvt
What is the Status of the naming rights for it? Does GM or AM General own it?
Fgts
Don't think so, if it dose probably be badge GMC as the original ideal was in '02.

92merc
What is the Status of the naming rights for it? Does GM or AM General own it? I thought a Chinese company bought the rights to the name. https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113668721
630land
China turned down buying Hummer. Could return as a GMC truck trim.

jpd80
It wasn't a good look for environmentally conscious brands ( Chinese government owned or approved of course.)
ice-capades
The few Hummer's we've taken in trade in the past few years get wholesaled to used car dealers in another market.
probowler
The few Hummer's we've taken in trade in the past few years get wholesaled to used car dealers in another market. I was very surprised the first time I looked up the inside of an H2... the interior was so disgustingly basic, I couldn't believe it belonged to such an expensive vehicle. The 2007/2008 model fixed that, too bad they only made 2 years worth with the improved interior.
NLPRacing
If GM decides to compete with the Jeep Wrangler and upcoming Ford Bronco, I could see them coming out with a GMC Hummer or something like that.

They have the Blazer/Trailblazer name they can fall back on if they chose.
rmc523
They have the Blazer/Trailblazer name they can fall back on if they chose. Rumor is they're wasting using the Blazer name on the new midsize FWD crossover, though.
