I think this project is a worthwhile endeavor/risk, because I believe they are here to stay as well, but I’m concerned about not having sufficient ice/hybrid offerings during this transition period to carry the water until things start balancing out.
I don’t like reading articles like this Ford Authority article talking again about how Farley hates two row boring CUVs:
https://fordauthority.com/2025/08/dont-worry-ford-ceo-jim-farley-still-hates-two-row-crossovers/
I understand he might not like them but there is apparently a really large segment of society that does like the two rows, and I’m not sure why you would ignore them. If he thinks they are boring, he’s in a unique position to do something about it. But if he thinks an EV trucklett is going to be effective replacement I’m concerned he’s in for a rude awakening.
I also understand the strategy of being where others aren’t (ie Bronco, Maverick), which is reasonable strategy, but it doesn’t seem those volume levels are close to the heart of the market totals.
I love their out of the box strategy they are using for this EV platform, so how about you employ some of these new design and production methods to a two row ICE/hybrid CUV, which is cool looking, that will be cheaper to build, thus generating a good profit. Ford’s powertrain lineup is more than sufficient to handle the transition period and likely can be improved upon during this time as well. There seems to be some hints of this, but remains to be seen.
Ford needs to properly market the Mustang...
Even the base Ecoboost Mustang is faster than even the first gen Shelbys yet is a practical daily driver with 30+ highway MPG, a fold down back seat for Costco runs, and a thousand pound tow rating to boot. The Mustang buyers of a half century ago again are empty nesters with time to enjoy life... Ford needs to show them the fun of a Mustang instead of the chore of driving an F150!
Howdy all!
I’m trying to get more performance out of my 2003 f450 6.0 Post Apocalyptic Nomadic Vehicle. I tow a 16’ toy hauler filled with ammunition and canned food…
All jokes aside, I want to get more out of my rig especially when towing up a grade. What should I do first to get the best performance, or any other ideas?
-Banks ram air intake system?
-Upgrade the turbo?
-Upgrade torque converter?
-Egr delete?
-intercooler fan?
-Edge CTS computer?
… all of the above?
I just don’t know what’s worth it and where to start.
any thoughts on what I am gonna to get the biggest change in pulling power💪

im putting an aftermarket fuel pump and a Mashimito radiator/intercooler & coolant filter.
