Yeah, they announce this today, and it'll be a different plan next week. Just annoying that it feels like it's been forever since we've been able to spy actual product that's coming on the road.

That is why I'm taking anything that Ford is saying right now with a huge grain of salt. There is product coming, but they aren't tipping their hats. Its like the additional product that has been rumored to into Flat Rock for what, the past 15 years it seems like? -
He's right just enough that it warrants mentioning it. I usually preface it with the "it's borg, but...."

Is Borg really a credible source? Did he predict this big change in EV plans that Ford announced a few days back? I stopped following the guy after some of the outrageous predictions he was making while he was still on BON. He's been wrong too many times for me to take him seriously.

That's a good point too. I fully expect it to be reinstituted. And maybe more usage of CE1 would future proof them? I.e. shift to more electrification if needed? Borg is saying they're scrapping the FNV4 electrical architecture too?

And that was the whole point of making this a skunkworks project-so it wasn't encumbered by people making the same mistakes over and over again...hopefully just new ones 😛 -

The F-150 got a refresh in 2024, so I'm assuming that it will get another minor update in the next 18 months and the next gen is a serious update like you said. I do think that the COVID years are messing with people's sense of time-I know its screwed me up with a couple things.
