yes, that and the fact that European market would probably prefer a BEV Utility over a BEV pickup.
But in saying that, the rumour is that the second CE1 is not expected until CY2029.
Thanks for the chart and good point that Ford hasn’t pushed Ranger since Bronco’s launch - it didn’t really push the new Ranger either although it
was a problem when parts supplies were tight and Ford chose Bronco
builds over Ranger.
Maybe you’re right and Ranger was the lead in for Bronco and now Ford has pushed the Maverick, it’s less interested in building tons of Rangers.
Europe is way more competitive market in terms of EV so that goes without saying that Ford needs UEV to work in US which is a closed protected market with few competitors. If UEV fails in the US, there is no hope it can be successful in Europe or elsewhere.
Ford Europe's diminished size means itself cannot launch any new vehicle platform at all. Everything has to be borrowed from somewhere else. It's a shell of its former self.
Here’s my chart in a while comparing the Ranger and Maverick sales
Maverick sales definitely affected Ranger, but Ford hasn’t pushed Ranger after Bronco debuted.
