So a few weeks ago I got my Bronco serviced and my wife was telling me that you can get a $20 rebate from Ford after having it done. I went to fill out the info online and it got rejected by Ford, who asked for a receipt of the service. So I winded up taking the receipt into work, scanning it with my phone into a PDF and forwarded it over to them via email
I get an email back from them-I accidently sent them my resume instead of the receipt! I wasn't paying attention the small thumbnail that Adobe scan (nor did I put a descriptive name to it) so I sent the wrong file at first. I got the the rebate about a week and half ago after getting the right file to them.
So I'm checking my email just now and see I got an email from Ford-asking me to update my resume! WTF! I never applied for a job with them LOL I'm wondering if my resume got processed somehow and that is how I got this email
Yea, when Ford offers a Bronco EV in the U.S. market (Bronco Lightning? Bronco Mach-E?) that may be our next new vehicle purchase. I doubt the Bronco New Energy from China will be imported to the U.S., so it's wait and see for now...
Video of the Bronco New Energy Global Premiere in Chengdu is below. It begins with an intro by a big shot from Ford China, Shan Ge. The head honcho himself makes an appearance at 5:13.
Yes, but the Big 3 was closing that gap by the mid to late 1980s-that was on them, its harder to compete with companies that have other inherent advantages that aren't as easily to compete against with
Interesting article on today's Autoline Daily:
"It almost sounds hard to believe but Volkswagen, which generated €347 billion in revenue last year, is running out of cash. The situation is so dire that its supervisory board just slammed the brakes on any capital investments for the rest of the year. VW is short on investments it has to pay off next year by about €11 billion and the board is practically looking under the couch cushions for spare change. In its Q3 filings, VW reported that it generated zero free cash flow this year, which is what management usually likes to tap to fund investments. All this has got analysts talking about the need for VW to sell off non-core assets, and that makes us wonder if Scout could be in trouble?"
Going from 6 switches for normal driving to 12 switches for more power is exactly like going from 4 cylinders to 8 cylinders and nothing like changing gears.
