Mind you, some of these positions could be really tough work and appear like a poisoned chalice to a career employee with 25 or more years with Ford   Ford pro is doing well at the moment but the first sign of slow down or lost revenue and guess who goes under the bus first?

Definitely a good thing in most cases, although coming from GM might not be much different.  They definitely need fresh ideas and different experience.

Ever notice it seems Ford never promotes from within to fill its most important executive positions?  Of course that might be a good thing... 

For those who have followed Ford for a decent amount of time, Ford will sometimes discuss possible future products when it’s not sure of what to do and usually, it has nothing to show people. That is not to say they don’t have plans but this is all about gauging interest in cars for European market. Ending Fiesta and Focus sales have killed a lot if Ford Europe sales and services for dealerships. Legislation for EVs in Europe is far more aggressive and that is pushing manufacturers like Fird faster than CAFE in USA

I loved a lot of Ford's early 2000s concept cars, and it was sad that most didn't make their way to production.  Interceptor and MKR were awesome looking then and still look good now (though the MKR's grille is a big crazy as it was then).

It's not Automotive News, but it's info....   Alicia Boler Davis Named President Of Ford Pro   That person is Alicia Boler Davis, who comes into the role with over 30 years of experience in automotive, technology, and customer experience. Now, Davis will take over for Frick at the beginning of October, after spending 25 years at Ford’s cross-town rival, General Motors, among other companies. She started as a manufacturing engineer there and served in various leadership roles in manufacturing, quality, and connected customer experience, including executive vice president of global manufacturing and labor relations.

From today's Autoline Daily:   And what does Ford see coming for the future? It just took out a line of credit with JP Morgan Chase for $3 billion. Remember, this is a company that finished the first quarter with $20 billion in cash on hand and another $14 billion in liquid securities. And yet, it wanted to have access to another $3 billion. Of course, the best time to get a bank to approve a line of credit is when you don’t need it. But this probably means that Ford sees a flashing yellow icon on its dashboard and wants to be ready in case things start to go upside down.
