silvrsvt
I can't find the other thread, but here are some more spyshots of the supposed EcoSport replacement or maybe the Puma? https://www.automobilemag.com/news/2021-ford-ecosport-spy-photos/ https://carbuzz.com/news/ford-to-replace-the-ecosport-with-this Looks like its going to be smaller verison of the 2020 Escape with some funky headlights Edited February 5, 2019 by silvrsvt
fuzzymoomoo
Don't read into the funky headlights, they're just there so there is a functioning headlight. Very early mules of the new Focus had those weird things too.
92merc
Yeah, that was probably the thing I hated most about the Nissan Puke, I mean Juke. Buggy headlights.
ZanatWork
Well, supposedly even a Radio Flyer wagon powered by a Briggs and Stratton motor is better than the current model, so....
Deanh
"Will it be better?"...could it be any worse?...Im sorry, but there is no place in the US for the 1.0...its failed in every application here. And even with the 2.0 engine, the Ecosport is burdened by weight...or should I say WAIT....1.5 eco would have been the ticket.
bzcat
The fact that Ford Europe is handling the development rather than South America is good sign that it will be a much better car. I'm still guessing this will be the larger of two vehicles that will replace EcoSport.
RadicalX
production taillights Ford Puma (?) Edited February 6, 2019 by RadicalX
Twin Turbo
Please Ford.....please don't call it Puma. I had one of the originals and it was a brilliant little car (best FWD car I've ever driven). It'll never happen, but I'd love to see a real Puma replacement, built off the latest Fiesta, made as a small coupe again [/img]
rmc523
It looks short.

Even spawned a similar one for the Mustang.

atomcat68
I like that. That's more of a high riding hatchback than a CUV. I'd even name that Fiesta X or Active to use some of the brand equity established with the Fiesta.. Both the Ecosport itself and the cruddy name are just all around bad and not appropriate for the American market.

ANTAUS
The Encore is their best selling model, so for Buick it's important they get it right.
RadicalX
The Cadillac design looks like a drama. GM spends a fortune on Cadillac projects, but keeps the design bad because it's original. It would be better to keep an ugly design and lose money Always (CTS, ATS etc), than run the risk of copying another brand, but make money (Hyundai copies the Audi grille). It seems that some brands are stuck to bad designs because they simply cannot risk another design, since every type of design seems to have been used by other brands. CTS seems to be the "leftover" design and no German used it.
