The trouble is Ford doesn't have a robust supply chain of hybrid component parts. Try to find an Escape Hybrid or a Maverick Hybrid on a dealer lot. Not easy. I would say only about 25% of Escapes produced are hybrids which doesn't come close to demand. And not easy to find a Poweboost F150 either. You can order a hybrid, but probably a long wait with many orders in front of yours, and limited supply. Increasing fuel prices only make this situation worse. We will see what the Mexican plant can produce with the Mach E without the Blue Oval plants. So that 600,000/year goal is a few years away. That was my initial though when I took a shot at Hackett, battery supply has crippled Ford for years and for him to not lock in / guarantee supply was a big miss….and then I got cold feet thinking I was picking on him.. It's a Wildtrak too, so it'll get the black hood graphic and I ordered the side black door stripe too (they're added after the photo spot in the factory) - I think they balance out the blue nicely. Originally was getting the black MOD top too, but we all know how that process went. May look into it down the road, but we'll see. rmc523 Posted April 1, 2022 Share Posted April 1, 2022 (edited) Well folks, it finally happened - took delivery Tuesday evening, and it’s been a whirlwind since so I haven’t been able to take the time to post some pictures. I’ve already put 90 miles on (it had 11 at delivery so it’s just over 100 now), and it’s awesome. I've gotten several compliments and comments/questions about it both days so far! I’ll make another post about my likes, dislikes, and issues so far, but in the meantime here are some pics!
