When rowing my truck will reduce engine power and shut off completely. You can power down and restart immediately. Programmer shows low fuel pressure/ large fuel leak. Any suggestions on what code be going on?
Perhaps worth noting....not sure how it may have affected the data compared to previous years.
The U.S. Initial Quality Study, now in its 38th year, is based this year on responses from 99,144 purchasers and lessees of new 2024 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. For the first time, the study additionally incorporates repair visit data based on hundreds of thousands of real-world events reported to franchised new-vehicle dealers. The methodology for this year’s IQS was enhanced to unite newly acquired, state-of-the-art vehicle repair data with traditional J.D. Power VOC data while fielding continuously year-round. This enhanced IQS data allows automakers the ability to quickly identify potential issues before they become bigger problems in the quality landscape.
The study is based on a battery of 227 VOC questions plus relevant repair data, all of which is organized into 10 vehicle categories: infotainment; features, controls and displays; exterior; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats; driving experience; climate; and unspecified (unique to repair). The study is designed to provide manufacturers with information to facilitate the identification of problems and to drive product improvement. The study was fielded from July 2023 through May 2024.
I understand their thinking, but all one has to do is look at the aftermarket catalogs for 1st-gen Mustangs...and you can get packages with rack steering, disc brakes, and subframe stiffeners. It's not cheap and it is work, but you end up with a classic-looking Mustang that goes, steers, and stops better and more reliably. The chassis stiffening, in particular, makes a big difference.
Again, I'd never do it to anything truly "collectible", but if you find that project car that's already going to take a bunch of work and is much more about fun than investment potential...why not?
They need to push out C2 on everything globally.
This is a ridiculous take. Fusion was very well regarded.
Uh, Ranger?

As for the rest of the list....I think Ford should bring over Evos as Fusion, I definitely think they need a more sleek subcompact product (Puma?) to pair with BS. A new Edge (for your recent Passport vacancy) is also needed.
That's how Toyota does it now thanks to the TNGA platforms and Dynamic Force engine family introduced in the late 2010s. Prior to that Toyota had about 100 platform variants and 800 engine variants throughout the company, resulting in high cost structures.
Exactly. Each mfr plays to their strengths. It’s far easier for the Japanese and Korean brands to expand here than for Ford to expand there just based on market size and product strengths. They can sell most of their cars and minivans and utilities here but Ford can’t sell F150s and Broncos and Mustangs there in any meaningful numbers. Honda and Toyota would swap Camry and Accord sales and profits for F150 here in a heartbeat if it was possible.
Ford Europe has always had high costs and allowing them bespoke platforms and vehicles didn’t help at all. What Ford needed was the global C2 platform in multiple sizes and use it for everything globally with minor updates every 10 years. Thats how Toyota does it and it keeps their cost structure very low. Meanwhile Ford had 3 platforms and a dozen powertrains supporting just a few vehicles.
