Add me to the list of paying customers that Ford has abandoned. I tend to buy a new car every 5 years or so, alternating between light trucks for when I need to haul stuff or camp (Ranger, Transit Connect) and hot hatches for their performance and practicality (Golf TDI, GTI). Ford's hot hatches are long gone and the Mustang Ecoboost is no substitute with its "wrong gear every time" automatic. Maverick Lobo had potential, but Ford needs to share COG data with SCCA so it can autocross, and like Ranger the bed is too short to sleep in. Transit Connect is gone, F150 will fit in my garage but takes up too much space and 20 MPG won't cut it, and the fashionably jacked up Super Duties and Transit won't even clear the garage door.
So Ford I'm here, I can afford anything you sell including the GTD, and you have nothing to sell me...
Maybe wrap the trim so as to allow for easy return to chrome if you desire....but, I can agree with adjusting the ride height down 1-1 1/2 inches.....she is certainly ridin' high right now.
Unless Ford updates CE1 and creates CH1 from it as a derivative model that can be built on the same line. On a personal note, I enjoy my C2 hybrid Maverick immensely.
No, but a non-removable door hinge and a steel roof could lead to a third Bronco stable-mate with fixed doors and a fixed roof ....think Bronco Unlimited....Something along these lines...but again, with a fixed roof and non-removable doors and a unique grille treatment. Continue to call it Ranger and call it a day.
Took a few outdoor photos with the different wheels and tires today. Definitely need to adjust the ride height sensors to drop it down a bit. Seriously considering painting the stainless wheel arch trim body color as well. On the later SE models just about all of the body trim including the bumpers was painted body color. Not saying I would go that far but it definitely gives these cars a much more sinister look.
