Put it in Sport mode and when you brake going downhill it will hold a lower gear automatically. Not exactly the same as manual shift but should suffice.
It’s without a doubt the best Mustang ever made in terms of performance and interior quality and features. Not sure what you think needs to change to make it more super dee duper.
I appreciate you contributing to this thread with a reasonable response.
That could be a way to go about it, at least I was able to get the warranty company to agree to replace it after I provided specific wording with the contract that mentioned things like electric motors would be covered and that’s what failed, not the “headrest”.
Hang on, I think you’re conflating two things here….
Even though GM bragged that Camaro was better than Mustang GM ended up killing it due to poor sales
and then doubled down on C8 being it’s sports car of choice. If Ford chooses to compete with the Corvette,
the current Mustang is probably not the vehicle to do that……the GTD was for a completely different customer.
If Ford ever contemplates doing a mid engine sports car, it needs to avoid the complex frame issue in C8
and perhaps using giga flash castings in their place would make the whole production process much easier and
more importantly affordable. Having the power pack behind the passenger compartment would make switching
between ICE and BEV very easy. Bottom line is that’s still loads of cash…….
Just my opinion, I think a RWD sedan done under S650 is possible but again a lot of cash to justify.
Ford could economise that by using the Mondeo as a starting point and turn it into RWD with a Falcon
like front end with less engine set back.
For people now paying premium prices, the 2.3 EB is a bust, a V6 EB would be a better fit)
As RMC’s December figures showed, Ford sold over 5,200 Lightning in that near 80,000 F Series sales bonanza.
It was like a huge light bulb went on and Ford had a really good sales months with F Trucks.
I get that Silverado is next generation thinking in large trucks but man, GM has had some serious issues
getting the ramp up. It shows that maybe Ford is wise to delay T3, maybe put better batteries in Lightning
and use it as the “we are listening to what you need” vehicle, do all the improvements in that and go bam,
when the new T3 is ready to drop.
