A lot of red on the chart last month.....the loss of Edge is dropping a lot of volume on the SUV side that isn't being made up by Bronco and Mach E (I've long said neither are proper substitutes, despite what some argue).
Yes, because they benchmark a Blackwing means that's all that will be offered...
I just think they'll have to get an ROI, so limiting it to premium and up shrinks the sales market even more. Think about how many Chargers were out there just for people to have a "Charger"......not saying Ford wants to chase that market, but they may need to for reasons others have stated (CAFE, etc).
I doubt we'll see too much difference in ride height.
Fuel prices in my area have been chaotic lately. Some are changing prices twice a week. These are the current prices within 3mi of my home in Prescott, WI, about 27mi SE of the Twin Cities.
I saw these when I was in the UK. They looked nice but were pretty generic looking.
They wouldn't have drastically moved the needle.....maintained what Ford had maybe, but sales wouldn't have exploded by any means.
Agree. The roof “hump” would also make it more difficult to add roof racks, especially for long items like ladders, etc. Not impossible, just not as easy. It also reduces cab’s feeling of openness. Vans often prioritize utility and function more than cars do for commercial reasons so I would be surprised to see a roof design like the CGI render. Not suggesting it should be ugly like most Nissan vans, just that van needs to be very practical. If Ford plans to make this van more of a people mover, then roof design might be a different issue IMO.
The next issue to address was the tight (by 2010s standards) rear passenger space. Ford developed a solution, the Focus Mk4 but decided not to sell it in most global markets where it would have now matched the size of the Corolla and Civic.
This is the refreshed (final?) version of the Focus Mk4.
