That’s fair but for every person who prefers S550 there is one who prefers the new one. Personal preference. And I’m sure price plays a much bigger role.
A used S550 mustang. Mechanically the new one isn't a noticable improvement. The interior and exterior of the new one look worse to me. The used one is much cheaper...a low mileage used 2020+ S550 gt convertible is cheaper than a new eco boost convertible in my area. I guess the warranty would be the selling point for the new one.
I just don't know, when I first saw it, I was like "Oh cool, that's different" but the more time I spend looking at it, the more it becomes "Oh God, that's different..."
Like it's a bold shape, but it's also trying too hard, and that approach to design doesn't age well, it hasn't aged well in 6 hours, let alone 6 years.
I actually like those names, they're actual names, not "Oh look it's the Ford Lz500 turbo!" Plus those names are fun/unique, we need more of that. Mythic and Fathom sound particularly intriguing. They aren't taking themselves too seriously, but that's what I like about it.
But these all sound like names of fun cars, so that's exciting.
Ford just trademarked a few different potential names for new products.....maybe some of them make their way to one of these products? I don't like some of them, and often these trademarks don't mean/turn into anything, but it adds fuel to the fire, at least for discussion purposes.
