I had iTunes and MP3s ripped from all my CDs then augmented with iTunes purchases going back to sync1. All stored on usb or sd cards. Never got into streaming services.
I'm guessing they're not including the cargo area in that "passenger space" line - just the area where passengers actually sit. There's no way it'd have the passenger area + cargo area in just the Ford's passenger area, and then add the frunk and bed on top of that.
I never got into any of those "pay and play" create your own station type apps (Pandora, Spotify, Apple, etc)......i'm too lazy to go curate a list of songs I want to listen to. If I wanted that, I'll pull up my ancient itunes library that's still in my phone. Granted, I stopped adding to that in the 2010s, but still. I just stick with Sirius.
Absolutely, nobody is denying that. Ford was in terrible financial shape but had the smarts to borrow money to see them through restructuring. The same thing was happening over at GM, but typical GM arrogance caused them to delay asking banks for a loan. By then, it was too late, and the Great Recession had begun, and the banks weren't lending money to anybody. Bankruptcy was next. GM is just lucky the Government bailed them out, or there wouldn't be a GM right now.
I said what I said.
Ford was in the midst of a major financial crisis in 2006, when the company was mortgaged for that $23 billion credit line.

If base battery pack capacity is indeed in +/- 50 kWh size range, as Ford has hinted, there’s no way in hell a 5-passenger pickup will achieve 250-300 range; other than hypermiling at 30 MPH or something crazy like that. Some pickups today barely achieve 2 miles per kWh, so to get 250-300 miles out of +/- 50 kWh battery capacity would require between 5 and 6 miles per kWh. We need to be realistic here and accept that’s just not going to happen in normal driving. Obviously it’s always possible that battery capacity will be much higher, well above 50 kWh, and that Ford will bring battery costs down enough by 2027 to still make $30k price point, but I wouldn’t bet on it. I’m hopeful but not unrealistic. 😀
You could be right, but man I hope not. That’s such a goofy looking shape. Looks like a cyber truck with smoothed over edges. I don’t think that shape will translate well to a smaller design either.
This quote has also bugged me;
“Ford says that the new midsized truck will have more passenger room than the new Toyota RAV4 — even before you include the frunk and truck bed”
Why would you ever include the truck bed as passenger space? Are they planning something like the slate where the bed can be transformed into a passenger area?
I wouldn't read too much into that image-but I think its generally correct-numbers 52 and 30 would most likely be optional package? Maybe a range extender of a few miles due to improved aerodynamics and to meet the claims of having more space then a RAV4
I don't think it is that-I have an upgraded system (New Kicker Speakers and Subwoofer) in my Bronco that still uses the Ford hardware and both the App and Built in SiriusXM sound roughly the same. I was taken aback at how much better Apple Music sounds (they use a lossless compression) that actually can drive the speakers far better then SiriusXM ever could. Apple Music even sounds ever so slightly better then Ripped CDs I have on my phone.
As for Apple Music, I just looked and they have playlist of 80s hits. I'm still messing with it, but apparently you can create a station using a Song and it will play music based off that choice. Or just ask it play a band name and it will play songs from their albums. This morning I asked Siri to play The Killers and it would going through their collection of music. You can fast forward as much as you want to, if you don't like something. It also seems to get better with the selection of Music it picks the more you use it.
It does some weird stuff-I asked for Sir Mix a Lot "baby got back" to play and the next song it played was NWA Gangster Gangster-not quite what I was expecting to play next LOL
