I was going to say it reminds me of a Bronco Concept before the 6th Gen came out -

It's depressing as hell. I hope Ford has a Detroit auto show 2015 style event in the coming years. Where at that show, they revealed the new raptor, gt 350r, and gt and we were all on cloud 9. It's still way, way off, but with Ford celebrating their 125th anniversary in 2028, I'm kinda hoping that's a massive blowout event. One where the next gen mustang, bronco, bs, maverick, mach-e, and off-road supercar are all revealed at the same event. That would be next level. Until then, get ready for more stickers. -

My guess that the X and 3 model competitor is the next CE1 product to come out after the pickup. -
I hope the predicted product onslaught does come true, as it's disheartening seeing competitors reveal multiple vehicles at auto shows (or debuting regardless of location), while Ford releases the latest sticker package on various models for the 5th year in a row lol.

This vid is a couple of years old, but it's intriguing, it's a short interview of about 7 mins, and Farley discusses a multitude of topics. One is when he's asked point blank if there's room in the lineup for another performance car model that isn't the mustang, he gives a very powerful yes. But then he transitions this into a discussion on affordable EVs, and what he refers to as "new silhouettes" which is the exact term he used to describe the CE1 when he said it's not really a truck, but rather a new silhouette. The example he gave was a new silhouette that blended a crossover and a car form factor and landed somewhere in-between. He said these new types of silhouettes are needed to get better aero. Applying this same approach to a truck would yield something like a new ute, which is a body side Farley has said he wants to bring back. Lots of maybes and trying to connect dots without having the full picture, so we'll see if I'm calling this right. But if things like the CE1 truck and crossover are less like a maverick and BS, and more like a ute and evolve mach-e style crossover, you'd be able to see why he sees them as model 3 and Y rivals. -
The Boulder Is Hyundai’s Answer To The Ford Bronco, And A New Pickup Is Behind It | Carscoops The Korean automaker revealed the tough-looking Boulder at this week’s New York Auto Show, a rugged SUV concept that teases the brand’s first-ever body-on-frame utility. Hyundai says the look is inspired by its Art of Steel philosophy, which translates to bold surfaces and strong shapes. But it’s hard not to see a mishmash of other off-road heroes like the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, and Land Rover Defender in there. Under the skin is a ladder chassis from the production Hyundai pickup coming by 2030. The bigger story is what this means for Hyundai’s future. The company is going all in on a truck built specifically for the American market. That means designing, engineering, and building them in the US using locally sourced steel, rather than adapting something from elsewhere. Even leaving tariffs aside, that kind of thing matters when you’re trying to steal patriotic American drivers away from domestic brands. “Body-on-frame vehicles are the backbone of American work and adventure, and we intend to compete in the midsize pickup segment with everything we have,” CEO José Muñoz said. “We’re not taking this lightly.” It reminds me of the '04 Bronco concept.

While this is exciting, I believe he's referring to the CE1 truck which he sees as an indirect rival to something like the model Y. Then again, we do also know that if Ford can stick to their plans for once, a smaller and larger sedan using CE1 are both planned at some point. So we'll see. Maybe a model 3 rival, and a larger su7 rival? Call them escort and Galaxie, or maybe falcon.
