If he actually checked with the zone rep and they said no then you’re probably stuck. Although you could try tweeting a pic and tagging Mike Levine saying something like can’t believe I’m going to have to wait another 8 months. After praising how well built it was.3 points

Received an email yesterday from Lincoln Reacquired that my vehicle arrived at the dealership. Still some things to consider as she was not aware I had paid off my 2020 a few months ago. That changes my options, and it sounds like it is for the better. Bottom line, I may get in to this 2022 L for less than $10k. We'll see, the wife and I are calling her later for more details. Anyway, the truck delivery seems imminent now, just need to sort out these details. Unfortunately, the MSRP increase since October is my responsibility since "akirby" on BOF confirmed to me that the sales manager was correct when he told me price protection only applied to true retail orders, which mine, being in reacquired status, is not. Oh well, I still think I am getting a good deal here. Lincoln is essentially paying all TT&L, doc. fees, etc, to the tune of probably $8k+. Also, having paid off my truck moves this process from here along quicker since Lincoln Financial (or whatever they are called) is not involved.3 points

I wish, no that is on me and I don't have another truck to get me through. I agree, I ordered the same thing but prices have gone up a bit. Not a huge deal but not good either. I am more determined then before to get this truck exactly the way I want it. May take some time. I kept the Tonneau cover for the next one. My deal has requested to move it up to a higher priority then the 10 I am at now and we have not heard anything back as of yet. Fingers crossed we can get it moved up.3 points

Greetings fellow travelers on the Ford Order Express. First time poster. Ordered 1/20/2022, order confirmed 1/24/2022. Patiently waiting like everyone else. I have appreciated reading this forum for the past two months. Really appreciate the info that has sustained me for the duration. Here’s hoping we all get what we’re hoping for…and not what we deserve. ?3 points

Don`t talk on the book of faces or to the twitters about the Ford facilities. OR ELSE..... Ok Ok I`ll watch what I say. (big brother is watching) But there`s one shortage that I just got to point out, "Experience". Back in the day (<-- yeah I`m old) if two experienced decision makers talked it over must likely you`d have a workable plan or a point to start refining the plan. Today... you can put a bucket full of these diverse decision makers together on a WebEx or in a conference room and you get the completely screwed up plans that come out their not a drop of common sense faces. BUT.... we are posting profits I guess whoever figured out that expanding the final assembly process all over the countryside was a frickin genius, definitely one of the better guessing decision makers. Who`d a thought ground based and overhead conveyance for moving units would give way to tractor trailers for final assembly. Ford is multi national, inclusive, a rainbow coalition but over flowing in manufacturing application background and experience? not so much. Remember the decision makers great idea for profit making....the Sollars - St. Petersburg plant.... ahh experience.2 points

Have your dealer contact the zone rep and see if they’ll make it a priority 1 considering the circumstances,2 points

After my dealer making me feel like I wouldn't get my car until September I got an email yesterday from Lincoln with a VIN number and a scheduled build date of May 30th. Woo hoo.2 points

Thanks everyone for the input. Just as an update I got word from the dealer that the recall issue with my truck was taken care of and I'm set to pick up next week. As I thought the fix didn't take long. Hopefully nothing else pops up that would delay getting it.1 point

I Iike the look of the Tremor ones more than the ones that come with the BAP I'm getting but I wish Tremor ones hung just a bit lower.1 point

Thanks for that! I will give them a call. I'm at about 4 months since my order and don't have a VIN yet. About a month ago I was told by my dealer that he moved me up to priority 10. So assuming he's done that I will be requesting he move me to a 1 or 2 soon.1 point

I rolled my 2010 F250 back in January (ice patch, 4x4 H but no traction control or ABS). Stuck the landing on all 4. All I got was 2 small glass cuts on my hands despite landing on the corner of the roof just over my head. Absolute tank of a truck. Got my order in 3 days later for a F350, its in production now.1 point

Lets see, are we getting a clearer picture the further along the democratic socialists' path we get? Gas prices? Food prices? Inflation? Deadly exiting policies? Throw the gates open and leave them open policies? But there is relief in sight, E85 crap and a Ford 3% increase in our hourly rate this year.... (Cost of Living increase )1 point

I’m sure glad to see another F-450 getting built. I’ve got an F-450 Platinum on order. Hopefully my build week will quit pushing and actually go into production.1 point

It’s like having a Tesla wall that can take you places. The way battery development is going, we’re going to see a lot more battery range in the near future1 point

Yep. I broke down and called Lincoln today. All they could tell me is it’s waiting to ship. Real helpful . . . Not. I just looked at an Expedition Platinum somebody posted over on the Expedition forum heading to North Carolina. Built 4/6 and already in transit. I can see it for myself on the Ford tracking site. I’m not sure why our trucks are getting ignored, but it sure is frustrating.1 point

I spent the first half of my career flying in and out of Newark a few times a year. On Good Friday 2000 I had a 4 pm flight, didn’t board until 7, pushed back and sat on the tarmac until 10 pm. Luckily I’ve only been back a few times the last decade. I hate that place.1 point

There is a difference between a grid going down (failure) and a grid in a high peak usage (brown out). If the transfer switch senses a loss of voltage from the main grid, it will disconnect from the main and utilize only the home source. If there is still voltage from the grid, excess power from the home source is sent back into the grid. Most utilities, either by law or just good customer service, have net metering so that if you generate excess power, you are credited that. So if you use 1000 kWh for the month, but generate 800, you only pay the utility for 200. They way it was explained at our electric coop meeting was that BEV's charging at night, during off peak hours, help to level load the system, making it more efficient. Brownouts happen because peak demand out paces generation capacity. It is not economical to build capacity to meet the peak demand when that demand is probably only 1% of the usage over a year. If there is mass adoption of EV's, it makes it more economical to build in extra capacity, as the base load during day and night gets closer together and that 1% peak load case becomes less of an increase from the base load. For example if the average daily usage is 1 MW per hour with a base night load of 0.5 and day load of 1.5, but on say 3 days a year during peak summer that usage gets to 2.5, if I have a system that is designed to handle 1.5 with 20% margin, I am still 40% short of handling that peak load. However if my base load increases to 1 at night and 2 during the day, I would run a system that could handle a peak of 2.5, and with emergency generation from backup sources could handle something higher, making brownouts less likely.1 point

Correct. The last section in Motor Trend's First Drive review of Hummer EV Pickup First Edition summarizes why they consider the vehicle the most "ridiculously awesome" pickup truck ever.1 point

Weird, I had no idea it came with a yaw sensor. And I've got the freaking thing ordered on my '22 (that may never get built).1 point

not necessarily...given those units may have been ordered over a year ago, a LOT of people moved on, lost patience or bought something else....1 point
