Unless Ford wanted to pay a bunch, I doubt International would license the name. The trademark includes "Land vehicles over 2400 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW), licensed for use on public streets, highways as well as off road use, namely, light duty trucks excluding fire trucks, such as pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, medium duty trucks, and severe service or vocational trucks." Not true. silvrsvt
Im slightly disappointed if the baby bronco is called the sport, because the sport name plate seems generic. It would be fine for tot two door, but I feel the smaller product should have more of its own identity to it.

The Bronco R racer was also supposed to be a test bed of the upcoming bronco platform correct? So it's really interesting to see the Bronco in a full-size body. They don't have anything else in production right now that has a body that can fit that frame and wheel size and the actual production prototypes probably weren't ready to be on public roads yet. akirby
I don't think the 4th one is a pickup - I think that's further down the road. Could be wrong though.

That doesn't mean the mark has been granted. Likely the main reason Ford abandoned the application was that the due diligence done after filing determined that the cost to acquire or license the name from International, which had spent several years fighting to secure the name and had it granted, was way to high.
