I do not see a 50% improvement at all. Motor Trend picked up on 500 total miles with 40 gallons of gas being no better than 12.5 MPG, and that’s not 50%. And if 140 kWh battery accounts for roughly 150 miles, the remaining 350 miles on 40 gallons of gas is worse than comparable normal Thor RV, and that’s without the aero and weight improvements they made to EREV that could also be applied to a gas motorhome.
The RV has potential for owners who dry camp near home, but for long-distance touring the market will be limited IMO. The real advantage is the electrical system used for camping, and most people don’t need 140 kWh for that. That’s why I think a more traditional PHEV with smaller battery makes more sense for more campers.
I totally agree. As mentioned above, Ford has a history of using black appliqués, however they have been integrated nicely as opposed to this large expanse of black, which makes it look unfinished to me. If there was a brake line across the top under the window, it probably would’ve been fine or adding color in some other form somewhere In or around that section. If I bought one of these, I would have it painted body color if it were feasible.

it would be interesting to see what it would happen at this actually took place. When somebody has a personal connection to a business, there seems to be a lot more passion involved in trying to be successful.
Tbh, the black applique is a good idea. Me personally, i don't think they implemented it well, considering the design of the tailgate and lights as well as the rest of the car, it potentially could've been very tasteful with the design they have. I actually think the new design wise looks way better than the new armada. The armada was able to do the same black tailgate applique, but its far more tasteful to my eyes. They didn't force the applique for boldness sake, they added it within the design of the tailgate.
I have no idea what Harbinger could offer Ford, but I do find that rear axle interesting for truck use. Most trucks, including Tesla Semi, use rigid axle with motor(s) mounted directly to them, but the Harbinger axle is a DeDion design that reduces unsprung mass yet maintains leaf springs. Obviously Ford could just copy or develop their own if deemed advantageous.
Ford Authority says that production began back on September 19. There is a LOT of conflicting info about the '25 on the Net and, until I see the new Order Guide, I can't make a decision as to keeping it on my short list or ditching it. Annoying! Even Edmunds has pricing info but I often find that they lack some info early in the build, so I don't trust that. If you DO trust them, you'll see that adding back in some of the decontented features (you can't add them all back) results in no (or very little) price change over the '24s. And folks are screaming scam...
It will be interesting to see how far Ford takes this GTD idea, and if it carries over into future generations. It will also be interesting to see with Ford investing in the mustang now more than they have in decades, if it finally gets a new platform that's more driver focused, something fans have been asking for years.
I see the recipe of the 30-45 grand ecoboost and GT sticking around well into the future. But beyond that, anything is possible.
