Exactly, EV sales are still growing. That's something worth noting with all the detractors saying EVs won't succeed long term. They just aren't growing as fast as originally projected, but growth is growth. Just wait until Ford's affordable EVs get here. -

Brilliant move imo. I'd imagine that also keeps the weight distribution relatively comparable to an ICE boxster, so it will still feel and drive like enthusiasts expect from a boxster. -

They got it right with the buzz, at least in terms of design. But yeah, their other EVs leave something to be desired visually. -

But modern battery packs tend to be smaller and thinner. You can also package some equipment under the hood even if it isn't ideal. -

I just read the EV Boxster has the battery behind the driver rather than in the floor which will make it easier to add an ICE engine since that’s where the engine sits currently.

My only issue with his decisions is he chose the wrong platforms for consolidation. The European Mondeo, Focus and Kuga platforms were heavy, complicated and expensive compared to their North American counterparts. But at the time it may have been the only feasible option. They missed an opportunity by not doing C2 and CD6 a generation earlier. Farley seems too focused on home runs and is ignoring solid doubles and singles.
