The Mach E is considered a utility/truck and in past years Ford needed to build efficient cars to offset less efficient cars. Maybe the rules have changed now so that Mach E as a BEV be used, maybe they don’t differentiate across the manufacturer’s corporate fleet now… -

From that shot, if you hadn't told me it was an Acura, I would have thought it was a Tesla Model Y with a funky wrap. Hopefully it looks more unique from other angles. -

You're using the wrong numbers in that example. For S650 Mustang, the correct calculation is [63 in * 107 in/144] = 46.8 sq ft. 2026 CAFE target for cars with that footprint is about 57 mpg
