Don’t “fix” what isn’t broken.
In my opinion, most problems stem from the way Ford execs see the problem.
When Ford talks in absolutes like going all in on BEV future or limiting production footprint for max efficiency,
it then requires forcing through either/choices locking Ford out of future options when a course change is needed.
Avoiding a massive post, I think most here can get a feel of that by what’s happened in the past ten years.
C2 platform envelope is breathtaking, the next step would be evolving to and incorporating the new
electric vehicle construction process. That may sound silly at first but a brownfield adaptation might
solve a lot of problems that existed when Ford originally tried to develop an affordable BEV.
Behind the scenes, there’s a lot of scrambling as Ford tries to undo some of the damage it has done to itself,
not all its own fault but Ford is poor at managing external risk - so surprising with international supplier network.

yes a wheelbase extension is a given. My point was jus that they need to make sure that they stretch it enough to give the back seat plenty of room.
Those both look terrible, imo.
