Exactly, or what they do for the rear seats when they fold down for the midgate. It can be done but like others mention I don't know if it's necessary. Just seems like another useful option for a swiss army knife vehicle.
Without a replacement I would agree. But that's why I think they'll expand Bronco variants at MAP and replace Ranger with this new midsized TTP truck. Shouldn't be hard to replace 75K units.
Well that was the plan first with Rivian then at Oakville but the skunkworks success showed them a much better option. Something like the 2 Caddy utilities would have been great albeit without much ROI.
I suppose they could make it like Flex where they flip backward into a well. But I also worry about keeping those components dirt/waterproof when in use as a truck bed.
Unless they could make those third row seats somehow fold down into the floor like minivans do. Honda Ridgeline already has a trunk like storage area in the bed. Seems something like that would be a possibility. The bed trunk is standard and seats are optional to keep price affordable.
