To me, Rivian looks like a premium brand, maybe not true luxury but it could reach many buyers..   I think it ironic that Ford sold its investment in Rivian because its own engineering called the electronics incompatible with Ford’s own systems….. Especially since CE1 would seem to be embracing many of those CPU styled electrical systems..

Over $20 billion written off on electric vehicles yet Farley can’t even supply Asia and Australia New Zealand and SouthAfrica with basic products that keep customers coming back to dealerships for servicing. Surely, it’s a betrayal of a franchise agreement  to deny products that allow dealerships to cover costs? Or maybe it’s a sign of just how terrible Ford’s own engineering has become….

Probably not. I'm personally hoping for some sort of escape sized coupe crossover, a sporty sedan, and maybe even a ute. Some of those seem like Ford might be considering, like the affordable RWD EV performance sedan for instance, whereas other ones, like a new ute, probably aren't gonna happen.

Aussie market is different to Europe in that our mid sized pickups lead the market - think mini me of USA Europe still favours a lot more subcompacts where we generally prefer compacts and up.   RAV4 particularly hybrid is set to become the most popular vehicle her this year (new model due soon) and Chinese brands like BYD, Great Wall and MG are making serious inroads from the bottom end. we have around 70 brands competing in Australia and we’re like at best a million vehicles pr year.
